1. In terms of decorations

2. In terms of cutting tools, molds and other metal cutting processing tools
In life, we will see golden, cobalt-copper, and black drills, milling cutters, molds, etc., which are coated tools processed by coating technology.
(1) Golden yellow is coated with TiN and ZrN coatings on the tool. TiN is the first-generation hard layer material widely used.
(2) The black one is coated with TiC and CrN coating on the cutting tool.
(3) The cobalt copper color is coated with TiALN coating on the tool.
3. On architectural glass and automotive glass
Architectural glass has two basic functions: light transmission and heat insulation.
Ordinary glass can transmit most of the solar radiation energy, which is very beneficial for lighting and absorbing solar energy. For space infrared radiation, although ordinary glass can prevent indoor heat from directly passing through the outdoor, the secondary heat dissipation after the heat is absorbed by the glass will also cause great losses.
With the development of economy, ordinary glass can no longer meet people's requirements, and solar control film and low-emissivity film can just make up for the shortcomings of ordinary glass in this respect. The solar control film can meet the requirements of lowering indoor temperature in low-latitude areas; while the low-radiation film can meet the requirements of high-latitude areas to fully accept solar radiation energy and to prevent the outflow of indoor heat to the greatest extent.
On the glass, a layer of TiO2 can be coated to turn it into anti-fog, anti-dew and self-cleaning glass. This process has a good application on automobile glass.
4. In the flat panel display
All types of flat panel displays need to use various types of films, and almost all types of flat panel display devices need to use ITO film to meet the requirements of transparent electrical appliances. It is no exaggeration to say that without thin film technology, there would be no flat panel display devices.
